The Salmon Leap, Totton
About us...
The Salmon Leap first opened its doors in 1962 by the Strongs in Romsey. Since then, it has become a beloved local hotspot for events, great food, and drinks—a welcoming meeting place for both patrons and the community.

The pub sits on the historic site of the Old Dower House, built in the 18th century by the Serle family, who once owned the Great Testwood Estate. The estate’s history dates back to the Domesday Book, but its chapter came to a close in 1931 when the land was divided into ten parcels and sold for various uses. Today, the old gatehouse still stands proudly at the top of the lane, a lasting reminder of its rich history.

With its inviting atmosphere, quality food, and great selection of drinks, The Salmon Leap offers the perfect welcome.
